I’ve always had a love for photography tucked away in my heart, but life took me down the path of caring for others as a nurse—a journey I deeply cherish. Now, with a little more time and perspective, I’m finally diving into the creative world I’ve always dreamed of.
Photography lets me connect with people in a different way—capturing small, beautiful moments that bring out real smiles and memories that last. Whether it’s a spontaneous candid or a carefully framed shot, I love creating images that make people feel something—especially joy.
This is my passion project, my creative outlet, and my way of spreading a little more happiness in the world, one photo at a time.

I'm Erica Powers
Hey, I’m Erica — a full-time OR nurse and part-time portrait photographer with a passion for capturing real, raw, human moments (and yeah, I’ve seen a lot of them in surgery too).
By day, I’m in scrubs, helping save lives in the operating room. By night (or weekends), I’m behind the lens, creating portraits that feel intimate, honest, and deeply you. I’m all about that in-between energy — the glance, the pause, the story behind your eyes. Think: vulnerability meets soft light.
I’m still emerging in the photography space, but my attention to detail (shoutout to nursing), calm presence, and love for people translate seamlessly into how I shoot. Whether you're a creative, a couple, or just craving some self-expression — I got you.
